Welcome to the Teatime Traveller. Come explore the enchanted landscape of the everyday...
Join me for a cup of steamy tea and together we will discover the mystical territories of our own backyards.
Let us embark on a journey that leads us into the realms of the heart, through the mysterious and exotic territory of each new day. This blog is dedicated to the depths and the heights of the simple life, to the soulful and honest quest that comes with being human.
Nao is usually found in her garden, digging, weeding, reading, singing, or simply visiting with the Fairies. Nao's heart belongs to the earth and the wild beauty of the land. Her temple is her garden, and her gods and goddesses are the petaled, stemmed, and trunked beings who dwell there. It is from the earth that Nao draws her inspiration. Nao teaches ritual dance classes for women, she is a holistic health consultant at the Stillpoint Center for the Healing Arts, a birth doula, and a writer. Nao lives in Vancouver British Columbia, in a little green cottage, with her husband Mark, their 2 cats, Venus and Moaph, and mystical dog named Gus.

About Nao's Dance Classes
CREATIVE MOVEMENT FOR WOMEN
LIVING RITUAL
To dance freely is to begin to release material that cannot be accessed through the vehicle of the intellect. If we let our minds rest for a while and let the wisdom body lead us, something profound can happen. What occurs is a kind of healing that has to do with connecting the heart with the head, and the body with the soul.
Dance is something that human beings have been doing since the beginning of time. Honest expression in the form of dance is deeply rooted in the nature of who we are. Creative movement can be a transformative experience that can lead to upsurges of emotion, and these feelings are doorways to deeper understanding. Our task is to help ourselves and each other to listen and be, without the obstructions of a judging mind and the paralyzing effects of self-consciousness. From here, an awareness opens and the territory of transformation is realized.
In Nao's Classes we look to the earth for guidance.
We ask the elemental energies of earth, water, fire, and air, to support us, as we journey inward, and then outward, toward relating to one another.
These classes are open to all women who feel inspired by this form. There is no previous dance experience necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to experience oneself moving freely for a while.

I try to credit the artist whose images I use on this blog whenever possible. All of the images on this site have been chosen because they inspire and speak to my soul. If the artist's name does not appear under an image, it is simply because I could not find her/his name.
Just today I asked for guidance.... I'm trying not to get caught up with emotions of trying to please too many people in my life.....but I want to make the best decision for my husband and I.....We're planning to move.....kids and friends want us closer not further away.....not sure I can sit still for 3 days though! But I turned the matter over....and will live fully one day at a time and be grateful for the here and now. Darlene
I love this post! AND I agree with Kabir- I'm a big fan of eastern ideas(He's a super mellow Muslim-right?! tho -I think he was a predecessor of Ghandi-not positive.) My dad tells me to be patient and wait before reacting to things since you usually end up looking back on things with wisdom you can't have at the time. He says that as you consider a decision, you collect the wisdom of the moments that pass- and that you shouldn't make a decision until you have a pocket full of wisdom. ---Good advice! I've been trying to be patient and wait lately...It's difficult. :)
